Pandora House "Details"

The Pandora House has a very colorful history.  Originally located in the bustling downtown "business" district, it was moved to its current location many years ago.  We purchased the Pandora House in 1984 and extensively remodeled it in 1985, keeping the basic structure intact, but giving the house its current feel and character.

The Pandora House gave us owners and many of our friends and relatives many years of great use and fantastic memories.  However, we always yearned for more room, especially when all the owners were at the House at the same time.  In concert with a noted Albuquerque architect, we designed and built a seamless remodel/expansion that greatly increased the functionality and usability of the House, not to mention adding a fantastic master suite and bath upstairs.  None of the original charm was lost and the outside got a new color!

Upper level

The upper level is accessed by an open staircase from the den, which is just next to the kitchen.  There are windows on all four sides of the master suite with a gabled window view of Ingram Falls and great view of Bear Canyon that can be seen from the queen bed.  The bath is cozy, the shower has a settee and was designed for two!

Main level

The main level includes the living room, dining area with bay window, kitchen, den/study, utility area with stacked washer/dryer, main entry (in living room), bathroom with shower and antique pedestal sink, and the side door.  The fireplace is all brick and we do have the necessary burn permit!

Lower level

The lower level has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed and a large opening window, just right for those warm summer afternoons and evenings.  There is a full bath between the bedrooms and it has a antique claw-footed tub. A mud room is situated just behind the sunroom, which is stubbed out with water and sewer if you ever wanted to install a full-sized washer and dryer.
